Help Page - functionality     

This is the Help Page that will show you the functionality of the button on the button bar below the e-book.

     Go to the first page of the Book

     Go one page back

     Indicates the number of the page you are viewing

     Go to the Contents Page

     Print the entire book. Please be aware that this may be hundreds of pages in length!

     Turn the background colour around the book on or off. This effectively turns the computer into full screen mode. Be aware that by switching this function on you will inhibit the visibility of the taskbar at the foot of the screen.

     Minimizes the book

   Closes the book

   The book allows the reader to add notes to any part of any page within it. Clicking the Notes button pops up this menu. Click on Add new note and the cursor changes to this shape . Move the cursor around the page and click where you wish the note to go . Even then you can change the location of the note at any time and save it. Notes are additive! You can even share your notes with other Best News users! (see the menu!)

You can change the colour of the note as well as the text colour to suit you.

You can open or delete a note at any time by right-clicking it.

     Selecting this button pops up a box like this (see right of page). This box will allow you to send an e-mail to any other person or persons. It will attach the book you are reading to the e-mail, then send it, so please be aware that you could be sending big files! Make sure that the recipient has enough e-mail space available to receive it!

     This search function will search the book for any character string you insert as search text. When it has found the results it will display them as in the example on the right.

         This function allows you to go to any page number in the book that you choose. Enter the number or select from the drop down menu and click the OK button.

         The menu button provides you with a menu similar to the one on the right. Many of the functions that are accessed through the buttons are also available from this menu. Try some (or all) of them out!

  This allows you to save the book and all of the notes and highlights in it

     This button gives you access to this page to help you with the functionality of the book.

     This button takes you to the Best News Web Home Page.

     Go one page forward. Similar to click on any unlinked space on the currently open right hand page.

     Go to the last page of the book

       Print the currently opened popup page

           Closes the currently active popup page

  This button takes you to the Bests News web page showing what other materials are available from us. This page will be updated with new material as it becomes available.
